Frugal Ginger

Barrel-aged Farmhouse Stout

Our good friend Pete the Planner suggested a beer name to us a while back and challenged us to come up with a beer to fit it. From that "Frugal Ginger" was born. This farmhouse ale was aged for 10 months in Kentucky Bourbon Barrels we got from our good friends Crown Liquors and then we added a bunch of fresh ginger to each barrel. Notes of vanilla and oak from the barrels combine with the pepper and biscuit notes from the beer layered with a spicey ginger kick. This beer is decadent and anything but frugal in flavor!
